The KaiNexus development team have refused to take their foot off the gas since our 2017 user conference, with major release after major release. Version 2.2.2 is no exception with 16 new improvements that customers have been eagerly awaiting.
Let’s take a look at some of the highlights:
We’ve added a search bar for Cards! There is now a little magnifying glass icon on every List Card. Click that icon to reveal a search box in which you can enter any term, making it easier for users to find specific items listed on each Card.
We made Charts lists much more dynamic! Now, a thumbnail of the Chart will be included in any list set to the Detail View.
This applies both to Cards on any Boards as well as to lists of Charts nested under any other item.
Any new Charts’ thumbnails will appear automatically, as will those of existing Bowling Charts. The thumbnails of all other types of existing charts will populate after they’ve been edited and saved once.
You can now include images - both in line and attached - and a full version any of Charts when exporting any item as a PDF. During the exportation process, you'll now be able to specify if you want to include images and/or Charts.
This looks especially great with items using a custom layout. One more step towards making your A3s in KaiNexus exactly mirror your paper A3 forms!
This KaiNexus mode should be familiar to some but is now unlocked for all customers. You can select as many Boards as you like and transition through them in a slideshow mode to show off different location or strategy Boards.
When on a Board select "Slideshow" from the ellipsis dropdown, choose which Boards should be shown and for how many seconds each should be shown, then sit back and enjoy the show!
We’ve created a completely new user experience that makes KaiNexus even easier to use. This new user type is called a “Frontline” user and is immediately available for everyone.
They can only see the specific Boards that have been made available to them, and although the left navigation bar has been removed, they can still search for any items they have permission to view. We aren’t trying to hide anything, as they will still be able to search through all items, we just want to create a simpler, more streamlined experience.
Be sure to reach out to your Customer Experience Lead to take advantage of this new feature!
