The madness of March is truly upon us, as KaiNexus version 2.5.1 arrives with 32 improvements! Let’s take a look at some of the highlights:
We really showed some love for all our Pisces lean and continuous improvement geeks out there this release with KaiNexus Fishbone! You can now digitize your fishbone diagrams by adding them directly to items in KaiNexus. What could be more convenient than having this flashy root-cause analysis tool available in the same place you manage your improvement work? Be sure to reach out to your CE representative to get fishbone turned on for your templates today!
While searching the Timeline is a great way to see the history of actions performed on an item, it would be so much nicer if we could just get a quick already filtered down timeline option on the Field, Attribute or Date itself. Well you’ve pretty much described our new Fields, Attributes & Dates History! When hovering over any Field, Attribute or the Start or Due Date of an item, keep an eye out for the
Clicking this View History icon will bring up a History window specific to that Field, Attribute or Date. Pretty nifty, huh?
Jonah Jameson: “Parker! Be sure to have those pictures of Spiderman attached to that KaiNexus task and that task completed by 4pm today.”
Peter Parker: “But sir, we can’t specify times on dates in KaiNexus.”
Jonah Jameson: “Nonsense, haven’t you read the KaiNexus 2.5.1 release notes? Of course you can!”
That’s right, when working with any date fields in KaiNexus you can now specify time. Want that Project to go Active at 9:00 AM Monday morning? Done. Want to assign a Task that is due by 5 PM Friday. No sweat. Time on Date Fields lets you get more specific when working with your dates in KaiNexus and it doesn’t stop there...
In addition to showing time on date fields, we have also enhanced the advanced item filter criteria when it comes to dates. You now have the ability to include a Custom Range option.
Custom Range lets you specify the specific last/next # of hours, days, weeks, months, or years. You can also choose options such as Today, Tomorrow or Yesterday. For example you could now set up a card on a Board to show all new improvement ideas that have been submitted today between 9 am and 5 pm. Or, try setting up two cards where you can separate out the action items for a morning shift and evening shift. Maybe you just want to see ideas that were submitted in the last 2 days instead of the last week? Not a problem. Just when you thought the advanced item filter couldn’t get any more powerful, BOOM!
Since the dawn of time, KaiNexus has never offered the ability to include more than five columns on a Board. Despite this, even some of our brightest KaiNexperts would have bet their lives on there being the ability to have six columns on a Board. That is now a reality. KaiNexus now offers the ability to include six columns on a Board, giving you more customization and configuration options when working with Boards. We can’t wait to see what fancy Board ideas y’all come up with!
