I'm a big fan of the KaiNexus Continuous Improvement webinar series that's a monthly fixture on my calendar (and hopefully yours).
Recently, I was sent this list that was put together by the PEX Network:
Top 50 thought leaders in operational excellence for 2023
Our own Mark Graban was on this list along with five other thought leaders who have participated in our webinar series. Congratulations to all of them! And to everybody on this esteemed list.
In this post, I'd like to point you to the webinar presentations and panels that they've been a part of.
Crystal Davis
Crystal is a strategy consultant, executive coach, speaker, and podcast host.
She was a panelist for one of Deondra Wardelle's #RootCauseRacism panel discussions, titled "Sharing Our Visions and Voices to #RootCauseRacism." In this webinar, the panelists answer questions and spotlight key points about anti-racism calls to action.
Here is a clip of Crystal's call to action from the end of that panel:
Karen Martin
Karen focuses on business performance improvement, operational excellence, lean management, strategy deployment, and value stream transformation through her firms TKMG and TKMG Academy. She is an award-winning author and keynote speaker, as well.
Karen was a panelist, along with Crystal, in a 2020 webinar titled "Real Continuous Improvement in Virtual Workplaces 2: The Sequel." In this webinar, the panelists share tips and lessons learned from their experiences with the challenges of doing improvement work virtually.
Kevin Meyer
Kevin is one of the co-founders of Gemba Academy (and organization we love), a former medical device company president, and the author of The Simple Leader.
Six years ago, he presented a webinar titled "Personal Leadership at the Nexus of Lean and Zen." In this webinar, Kevin shares the fascinating overlap between Lean and Zen, how to become more productive by identifying and optimizing the best part of your day, and more.
Didier Rabino
Didier is the president and owner of Lean Management Systems LLC. He's also a vice president of advisory services at Value Capture.
About two years ago, he was one of the presenters in the webinar: "Leading with Respect: Standard Work for Frontline Leaders." In this webinar, the presenters explain the frontline leader's role and responsibilities and define processes and tools to support the frontline leader's standard work.
Elisabeth Swan
One of our most recent presenters, Elisabeth is the author of the recent release Picture Yourself a Leader. She is a co-founder of Just-in-Time Café and works as a continuous improvement consultant and speaker.
Earlier in 2023, she presented: "Deepen Your Lean Leadership Skills with Brain Science." In this webinar, Elisabeth provides insights on how to use the reality of how our minds work to address people-centric challenges and tools to enhance your ability to help people navigate change.
Mark Graban
Mark just celebrated his 12 year "KaiNex-iversary" and we're happy that he's our advisor. Mark has hosted and moderated most of the webinars in our series, but he's also been the presenter for many, including:
- Psychological Safety: A Pre-Condition for Continuous Improvement
- Using Process Behavior Chart to Improve: Case Studies
- My Favorite Mistake, Your Favorite Mistake? Learning From Mistakes as Individuals and Organizations
He hosts our KaiNexus podcast series, along with others including "My Favorite Mistake."
His latest book, available soon, is The Mistakes That Make Us: Cultivating a Culture of Learning and Innovation and we're pleased that KaiNexus is featured so much in the book.
Congratulations to them and everybody on the list!
