At KaiNexus, we've been very happy to support and partner with the Louise H. Batz Patient Safety Foundation and their important work. We especially recommend their Batz Guide to Bedside Advocacy as an invaluable tool for patients and their loved ones (and their iPad app).
On May 7, our Greg Jacobson, Jeff Roussel, and Mark Graban attended their annual "Bingo de Mayo" event and fundraiser. As a bit of added fun for our partner display booth, the Foundation's founder and CEO Laura Townsend (pictured at left) suggested that we ask people to create haiku poems about patient safety or health (building upon the haikus we previously featured on our blog).
Here are few of the haikus and some of their creators (shared with their permission). Maybe these aren't the most artistically pleasing poems ever, but the idea was to get people thinking about important issues and challenges and we hope this blog post does the same.
