Memorial Health’s Revenue Cycle team continues to make significant strides in continuous improvement by leveraging KaiNexus to engage with opportunities for innovation and efficiency. Their Opportunity Improvement (OI) program has empowered frontline staff to submit ideas that drive revenue growth, cost savings, and streamlined processes.

Key factors contributing to this success include:

  • Leadership Engagement: Leaders actively using KaiNexus demonstrate its value and encourage participation.
  • Recognition & Rewards: While the team initially used a gift card incentive in 2024, they have since removed it—yet engagement remains stronger than ever.OIs are presented at town hall meetings.
  • Sustained Engagement: January 2025 saw the highest number of OI submissions to date, proving that the culture of continuous improvement is deeply embedded.

This commitment has led to remarkable results:
✅ The team surpassed their goal of 100 OI submissions in 2024.
✅ Revenue cycle processes are more efficient and proactive.
✅ Staff engagement in identifying and implementing improvements continues to grow.

Beyond the OI program, Memorial Health is now utilizing KaiNexus in additional ways, including managing projects and keeping meeting notes, further integrating the platform into daily operations.

Next Steps: Strengthening the Habit Cycle

To build on this momentum, the next phase focuses on reinforcing the habit loop for leadership. By creating structured routines within KaiNexus, leaders can enhance engagement throughout the organization, ensuring that continuous improvement remains an ongoing priority.

By embedding KaiNexus deeper into their workflows, Memorial Health’s Revenue Cycle team is proving that sustainable improvement isn’t driven by incentives alone—it’s built through strong habits, leadership involvement, and a commitment to progress.
