Prior to his consulting work, Ken Bast was VP of Operations in a community hospital, VP of Health Services in the largest continuing care retirement community in the US, and CEO of a hospital/trauma center. As a consultant to hospitals across the country and founder of the Hospital Focus 5 consulting firm, he works with all levels of client staff to transform how hospitals work every day in every department. Ken has made presentations to Moody’s and Standard and Poors, served as faculty in two graduate programs in healthcare and as a member of the Governor’s Council on Aging for the State of Missouri. Mr. Bast has a BS degree in Business from Marquette University majoring in Human Resources and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater.
