When our CEO closed our offices in March of 2020 out of an abundance of caution, none of us could have expected that would be the end of work as we know it. What we thought would be a two-week stint of working from home turned into two years. Our lease expired and we moved our office equipment into a storage unit to wait out the pandemic. We shipped home office supplies to our employees and flexed our Zoom muscles with virtual morning huddles and after-work social hours. We’ve made mixed drinks together, played countless rounds of trivia, laughed through a scavenger hunt, and met up outdoors whenever it was safe. We even considered a move to Antarctica!
During this time, our team has nearly doubled in size and we’ve expanded our hiring to include people in Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee. What started out as a temporary shift to remote work has permanently changed the way our company operates, and we’re so happy about the opportunities this has afforded us.
If you asked anyone at KaiNexus what they love about working here, they’ll tell you it’s their coworkers. While we no longer have office basketball and coffee shop meetings to bond over, we’ve gotten much closer in other ways over the past couple of years. We’ve been in people’s bedrooms, seen their messy kitchens, cooed over their pets, and hung out with their kids all through our computer screens.
We recently hit our two-year remote-iversary, and decided to do something really special to mark the positive impact KaiNexus has had on our lives during this challenging time - and signal our commitment to our team and the company. And what better way to do this than by getting matching tattoos of our new mascot, Ofie?
Check out these sweet tats, and leave a comment below to let us know whose is your favorite. We decided to extend the fun to you, our customers, as well, and convinced our leadership team to let us offer you one year of our Badges Add-On Module for free if you join us in getting an Ofie tattoo. A “badge” of honor, if you will.
