Greg Jacobson

Dr. Greg Jacobson is the CEO and Co-founder of KaiNexus. Passionate about addressing operational inefficiencies, Greg leverages his extensive background in emergency medicine and process improvement to develop software to drive innovation and improvement in every industry. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Washington University in St. Louis in 1997, followed by his Doctor of Medicine from Baylor College of Medicine in 2001. He then completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he subsequently joined the faculty. During his tenure at Vanderbilt, Greg was introduced to kaizen and Lean business management practices. He immediately realized the importance of these improvement methodologies in improving operations in the emergency department and beyond. This insight ultimately led to the creation of KaiNexus in 2009. In addition to his role at KaiNexus, Greg co-authored the influential work Kaizen: A Method of Process Improvement in the Emergency Department, published in Academic Emergency Medicine. Outside of KaiNexus, Greg enjoys quality time with his wife, daughter, and two Labrador Retrievers, and finds relaxation in playing the guitar and running.
